there is a car audio shop here in town that offer those doors on any car. My boy wants to put them on his avalanche but i keep telling him that is not a sports car. Its on 24's now plus having doors that go up still, here is no way he will be able to close those doors w/o a ladder. Anyway, the reason i said that is because i think he said they would do it for $1500.00? (maybe) and that might be at just 10% over cost cuz thats his discount at that shop.

Looks like a pointless way to ruin the original design with no practical benefit. Ideal for people who want to show they have more money than good taste though. The rest of us can just laugh at them behind their back I guess

Question Canada Availability?

Does anyone know if this mod is available in Canada? If so, where at and at what cost?

Thanks!

Exclamation Pricing on Wing Doors

I took the liberty of contacting Inden-Design about pricing and figured I would pass it on to you.

Installation has to be done at Inden-Design in Germany. They indicated that faciliating the installation prior to it's shipment to the final location (in my case, Canada) isn't a problem. The cost is 6,000 Euro and the process takes four days.

Arrow Group Buy

It sounds like a good idea to me, how many people would be interested? I'd be interested in a group buy on a supercharger and/or the wing doors.

Perhaps it is worth starting another topic for people to commit...?

sure worth a try i guess...id be interested in a supercharger or scissor doors perhaps even a kit.

But then again i don't think the discount would be anything substantial

worth a shot though...

You don't have to be from the UK to think that this looks rediculous!

I agree, I would not do this to my car if they paid me 1,500.

It looks cool because the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren has swinging doors like that, and the new SLK looks like a baby SLR anyway. It is very suiting.

If they did this on something like a Ford Mustang or Mercedes CL-Class, it would be the stupidest thing known to man. It would even look stupid on an SL-CLass.

It works on the new SLK because of the McLaren.

I think it would look much better with the top up. It looks kind of stupid with the roof down.
