Question about snow tires
I've got 4 near new Pirelli Winter Carving Tires.
The size is 205/55 16. These fit on the stock 16" rims of my c230 coupe.
Will these tires fit the SLK R171 if I get appropriate rims for them?

Sorry I can't answer your question....but on the topic of snow. I have to pick my car up in November in an area about 6 hrs from where I live and it snows there. It doesn't snow where I live. Are these cars good enough in light snow that I could get by with all season tires to get my baby home?? Thanks for any thoughts.

The Answer
Big Will and Wagner, you two will be fine. They tested the car in the snow. I remember seeing two pictures of the SLK 350 in black being tested on really sharp turns. Go to mbslk.de and go to gallery or pictures. It should be there. Those tires will fit if 16 inch rims can go on them. I know for a fact that 18 inch wheels can be put on the slk 350 and maybe 19 inches too.

Its amazing how people will just spout information with no basis in fact.
Anyway, the SLK350 has large rotors which prevent it from being fitted with 16 inch wheels.Sorry mate but you will have to shell out for 17 inch wheels and new snow tires.
