I just received an E-mail from the sales manager at the dealership where I ordered my car informing me that they are holding the SLK's at the VPC (Baltimore in my case) because there is a new modification that the cars have to under go and they have to wait for the parts. There is no estimate as of today as to how long this will take. I don't know what the new parts are or how many cars it effects. Perhaps some of you can check with your dealers and see what you can find out.

Hopefully what ever they do, it adds more horsepower. This car should be above 290hp.

 

There was a problem with the front strut assembly on a large volume of cars. These are being fixed prior to distribution to the dealers.
