Entertainment pkg - worth it?

Hello,

As I working trough the list of options to have on my SLK, I am wondering if the Entertainment pkg is worth it. I did not have a chance to see the difference between a SLK with or without it.

Has anybody been able to experience both?

I read that there is some kind of a bigger screen - Anybody has pictures of what it looks like with and without the pkg.

So far I am set on Heating, Premium and Comfort. I still have doubt between:

Entertainment pkg or not
Manual or 7G (did not get enough seat time with 7G to see if it would provide me with the same control/joy as the manual - always had manual but the auto trannies have progressed a lot in past years. I love the Audi DSG for instance but is more a manual with the benefits of an auto)

Thanks,

Yves

Definite difference-- 11 speakers with the Ent. Package. I haven't had the chance to extensively test as mine has not yet arrived. However, I ordered 7sp. AMG with Comfort Package, Heating Package, and the Entertainment Package without Nav.

Going to be hot.

I have the standard setup. Sounds pretty good except that I can hardly hear the 2 rear speakers.

I feel the same about the 2 rear speakers.

Makes me wonder if MB lied about having 2 speakers behind the seatbelts.

rear speakers

I was under the impression that if you had the standard sound system, you didn't get rear speakers even there's a spot for them. Maybe someone can enlighten us. I wonder if they are pre-wired and speakers could be installed.

They are there in the outwards corners, you can only hear them by leaning the seat forward & putting you ear almost on them. The entertainment package adds 2 more in the center. The dealer service told me that with the entertainment package you get the same speakers as the standard but additional amps & different head unit.
