Happy New Years Folks!

My 05 SLK 350 finally arrived and I took delivery New Years Eve. What an amazing vehicle! My ride is Obsidian Black with Ash Leather, 6-speed manual, AMG pkg, NAV Entertainment pkg, Premium pkg and Heating pkg. I gotta say the pix in the Merc brochures do not do this vehicle justice. As you know, ya gotta see and experience it to believe it! Absolutely Awesome! I was a little nervous about the Ash leather spitting up the ****pit, but you may agree, I think it looks pretty sharp. I also added the aerowings Thanks to SLKLuv and R(f). I think they really enhance the hood taken from the gene pool of his big brother SLK 55 AMG.

Well, Big ALBoston, You are correct Sir!! Herb Chambers Motorcars of Somerville, MA took absolute special care of me. I must say it was the most uniquely professional, honest and easy automobile purchase I have ever experienced. I suppose I should expect nothing less from Mercedes. The folks there are extremely real and genuine.

Yes, it's been a labor of luv keeping this black beauty clean. Thks to the car care tips on this site, I'm on my way. Zaino sounds like the way to go. But I must admit it also sounds like a huge time consuming process. Used Zymol on my previous vehicles with great results.

AlBoston, you mentioned a meet. How do I join the group and how often do you meet? I'd be very interested as I used to belong to a Miata Club and attended many rides.

Well, the lower grill is all part of the front facia when you order the AMG package. The AMG package is a $4000 option that includes that front facia, rear skirt, side sill effects, lower suspension, high end stiffer suspension, special AMG pkg rims. (Did I forget anything gentlemen?)The result is definately worth the bucks.

"Paddle" shifter buttons on the wheel. I also added Aero Wings yesterday but don't have a picture yet.

That's right. I forgot on the 7-speed automatic they add "shifter paddles" along side the steering wheel. Thks Julian321

BTW..Both you vehicles are SMOKIN in Mars Red!!! Very hot!

By the way how quickly did you get your Aero Wings once the site responded?

I'm all about the 6-speed SL! Must keep the peace with our Auto-7 speed owners.

I ordered the wings from Performance Products 2nd day air (UPS) 12/21. Would have arrived on 12/23, but freak snow storm delayed delivery until 12/28.
