SLK/R171: SLK-Class (R171) Picture Thread
My 350 slk has the same type of rims but it is only 17 inche. how's that?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
My car has the same type of rims and it is 17" right. How come your is diff from other 350slk ? Did you chose this type?
BTW any more pics of Mary? Are you sure those pics are all Mary? She looks diff in all the pics.

Mary is this one here:
I like this style of rims for it's look and it is so easy to clean the brake dust off.
Where is Mary without her sunny (sun glasses) ? You lucky fellow.

Here's my new slk280 edition 10 that I just picked up... basically in terms of options its got 7 speed automatic with paddle shifters, 17" 10-spoke "chrome shadow" wheels, p1, heating package, and a 6 cd changer. Detailing that's not on your typical slk... check the pictures.. just a lot of red stuff all over the place.
I have to say the thing I like the most about these options are the rims and the paddle shifters.
For now I'm thinking about adding some random bits of chrome, a SL short antenna, and HIDs later on. Since it's a lease for commuting to and from work with, I'll decide later if I want to add some kind of 3rd party lcd screen into the front console, maybe hook up some forward looking infra-red camera or something (or rear looking something or another to spot the highway patrols)...

Nice wheels... did you get those as stock wheels?
I don't really like the wheels on mine...

I ordered some Eibach lowering springs from Tire Rack, but I'm not sure if I'll put em on. I'm pretty happy with how the car looks on the stock suspension.
2009 SLK 350, Capri Blue with black leather, premium and heating pckgs.
I think I'm gonna keep the stock 17" wheels, at least for a couple years. If you've seen them on mbusa's site or any of the reviews and such, the redesigned stock rims actually look pretty nice with the bevelled (sp?)/diamond cut area around the the lugnuts. Much better than the previous stock rims the last couple years. I REALLY liked the "black chrome" rims on the 2008 Edition 10, but unfortunately you can't get them on the 2009's and I couldn't order an Edition 10 in capri blue so late in the game (feb of this year). May try to find a set of them on ebay or something later on. The Capri blue is the main reason I held off for the 2009, although I wish they hadn't discontinued the caspian blue because that was my 1st choice and there were NO caspian blue 2008's anywhere to be found in the states, except for one in FL with beige interior, no thanks.
Anyone seen a new Orion blue 2009 slk? I guess that's their replacement for the caspian blue. Looks too much like royal blue for my tastes, not a good color for such a blue-blooded car if you ask me, pardon the pun. Burgundy, dark blue, caspian blue... all good colors. Bright blues and reds just don't seem to compliment the SLK line in my eyes. But I haven't seen the orion blue in person so I could be wrong.
