Bangkok SLK
Here in Thailand the only model of the SLK that is available is the SLK 200K. But, given Bangkok's notorious traffic I probably only need an engine that is strong enough to power the air-conditioner...while it, in addition, propels me through the city at an average speed of 20kph. We have some traffic lights here that remain red for up to 20 minutes during rush hour. Drivers have been known to get out of their cars and shop while waiting for the green.
Even then, the customs and sales tax is so high in Thailand that the 200 sells for more that $105,000.00 (US).
Though Bangkok is awash with the S models the SLK is very rare. People really look at it...especially when the top is down. And, the top hotels like The Oriental and the Peninsula want me to park right in the front courtyard. They wouldn't do that for even a S500 (which, incidentally, costs about $350,000.00 (US).

WOW! You guys have some talented photographers on your team...and some super looking cars. My Kodak Happy-Snap sort of pales by comparrison. Anyway, we have a SLK and a S here in Bangkok and a SL in Florida.

Wow it seems like you got the whole package done up with the slk350. I have a white one in Vancouver also and I'm planning to get the Carlsson kit. just wondering if those brakes are from a slk55? Would you mind pm-ing me the price that you got in HK cuz I might be interested in getting a set too!

Yes, those are SLK55 brakes, I got them for 37000HKD installed. Mine is a combination of everything, Brabus body kit, Carlsson wheel, AMG brakes, etc. Might not be to someone taste but I like mixing things up a bit. I am real glad that you like it.
