Tell us more about your new wheels. Are they true AMG wheels? Look like some BMW style wheels. Nineteens look great. Give us some details on size, pricing, and where purchased.

The wheels are EXE (Axis offshoot) Konkaves. 19 x 8.5 front 30ET, 19 x 9.5 rear 38ET made for the Merc. Tires are Hnkook 235-35-19 front and 265-30-19 in the rear. I bought them off of e-bay from gooddeal products, Wilber at tuningparts. He put together a wheel and tire package for me. He is great to deal with and I would buy from him any time. They fit like a glove and I think they look pretty good.

i doubt he paid someone to do it. it's usually a pretty simple install, but i'm not 100% sure about the r171.

does evosport make painted sidemarkers for this car? i think they charge $100 for it on other cars

I did do it myself with the instructions from others here. About a 1/2 hour and a scratched up arm. Not too much cussing or throwing of tools though, so it wasn't all bad!

yes, it's a simple install, nobody should pay for it, it only takes a few minutes.

$100 for painted sidemarkers??? Pay me $50, I'll have them painted for you I took mine off and had a body shop do it for $10 for both sides. Matches perfectly, even have those metallic flakes.

I think the European or UK versions don't have them, they just have a painted strip that goes there. Not sure though.

I picked them up from Wilber at tuningparts.com He put together a package with the wheels and tires, so it's hard to say. But the whole things was $2500 shipped. They fit perfect, and there is no rubbing even after I lowered it with the H&R springs.

Question

How is your ride quality on 19z with those springs?

I have the same springs on amg shocks and i was wondering if I should get 19z or not.

How is the ride quality and handling after going with 19z?

Any tire rubbing issues in the rear? Did the dealer do the alignment for you?

I like that top photo. Do you get two of the micro mini SLKs for the price of a full size SLK?

Hello Kmakaz,

How much did the springs cost and do you know if they will work with an SLK280? Also, who did your install and how much did it cost? How do you like the ride? By the way, your car looks great! :-)
