2012 SLK200 (R172)
Flip board
Hi everyone!
I'm new to this forum, so I hope I am sending this post to the correct conversation thread.
I recently acquired a pre-owned 2012 SLK200 (R172) with a milage of 80 000km, and what a joy it is to drive!. However, I was hoping if someone can advise me on the following please:
Although the vario-roof works fine, I've noticed that when the roof is in the 'open' (folded) position, there is a gap between the edge off the closed trunk lid and the rubber strip of the parcel shelf - in other words, the trunk lid does not completely seal the gap between itself and the parcel shelf. When looking inside the trunk, the edge of the parcel shelf rests on the top of the folded roof, although the shelf's rubber strip prevents scratching.
I was wondering of the above is normal, or does an adjustment need to be made? When the roof is in the 'closed' position, the trunk lid properly seals the gap between itself and the rubber seals of the rear window and 'C' pillars.
Can someone please advise?
Kind regards
Tommy
