R172 SLK | Intelligent Light System - LH Headlamp Replacement

I am seeking advice please about the Intelligent Light System (ILS) for my 2013 Mercedes SLK 250 (VIN # WDD1724472F075695). The Data Card for this VIN contains the following codes:

621 - Headlamp with ILS, Left-hand traffic
804 - 172____ - 20090226 - YOM 13/1
804 - 172____ - 20111222 - YOM 23/1
950 - AMG Sports Package
I replaced the left headlamp with an identical used unit from Ebay, but just discovered when trying to fit the Xenon globe (D1S HID 35W) that it has a different xenon bulb holder. The Mercedes EPC lists the following OEM part numbers for the headlights for this VIN:
RH Headlamp - A172 820 56 59
LH Headlamp - A172 820 55 59
However, on further investigation I found a large white sticker on the original; never removed RH (driver in Australia) headlamp that shows:

704.78.000.00
A172 820 28 59 (small white sticker with a QR Code annotated 704.71.102.00.

So, I assumed that the part number on the RH unit may be different due to it being an AMG-specific part. Is this correct?

There is no visible part number on the replacement LH light (from Ebay) and the large white sticker is missing. There is however a small white sticker like the RH one with a QR Code annoted with 704.72.102.00.

I have attached images of the RH and LH lights in-situ, and the xenon bulb holders, noting:
  • The RH unit has a circular-type holder and a longer hole; and
  • The LH unit has a square base and vertical prongs and a somewhat smaller hole.
Can I use the replacement LH headlamp with its designated xenon bulb holder, or is this light for the Code 615 - Bi-Xenon Active Curve Lights, for which can I just get a replacement bulb holder?

Any coding/compatibility issues between the Active Curve and ILS versions? The replacement light has the original ballast unit which I saved.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

James.
