after reading a post in generals on manual or auto, i decided to poll the board so if you would not mind,
if there was an option to have a manual tranny on all mercedes, would you have ordered your car with it? also please feel free to open this up for discussion if you feel mercedes should not make it an option or you wouldn't get a manual tranny.
i am going to average out the stats to see whats the majority's vote in mbworld

I voted yes. If the SLK32 was offered in a 6spd manual, I would have chosen the manual. Also, with 1 extra cog in the tranny, MB could add steeper rear gears for increase acceleration
