So for ****s and giggles do you guys think it would be possible to take say an 02' e320 4matic transmission and swap it into a slk/crossfire?? it seems its would bolt right up just change out the suspension parts and it should work right? Just think it would be a hell of a build.

I saw rcomparts c32 amg 4matic and just got me thinking!

Hope all is well!

Do you mean fit a 4-Matic in none 4-Matic...??,

4-Matic is a different trans. it won't fit directly, it needs to change some internal parts to fit it.....!!

Yeah meaning that Say with the car I have. I have a 2005 Crossfire srt-6 (32 AMG motor) or the more common car on this forum an slk 32 amg. I know that they have used 4matic with the that motor before but was wandering other than changing the whole transmission obviously would it fit?

I know all the suspension would have to be changed out up front to make it work but not sure if it is so much different with dimensions that it would be nearly impossible..

Internals what do you mean? Is it a whole different type of motor just for a 4matic transmission?

Thanks for the response!

Internals with W210 & W203 is different set-up,means, like the rear main housing case & the carrier with has the differ gears,

also you have to change all front axles & steering knuckles & suspension & Engine oil pan which has a differ set-up wholes for axles shaft,,

motor is same, but the trans. has a differ set-up,,

it easier to do that converter with "E-W210 or C-W203 or S-W220", but SLK is soo diffecult & take a damn $$$$$ to do it.....!!

Ah I see... well that makes sense... and yeah I could see how it would be a lot of cash.

So basically I'd have to buy a donor vehicle with all the parts to transfer it over...

If only had that kind of money laying around... would be a fun drive if completed!
