Old thread but I thought I would reply here. I’m installing this now and stuck with a basic question. With the module connected, I’m not getting any lights/response with the IGN off. I’m at the step where you connect into the main black connector, hit the key fob and plug/unplug the small connectors until you get the correct flashes on the module.

Should this step be done with the key ON or OFF? I assumed OFF but I don’t have any lights on the module. If I turn the IGN on, the module powers up no problem but I’m not sure if that’s correct. I thought the module would respond to the key fobs commands with the IGN off.

This does NOT sound like an R170 install. Are you installing on an R230? if so, very different install. You may want to ask the supplier directly
