SLK55 to get 7G-tronic??

I was checking out the new Autoweek and came across something interesting for all of you AMG fans! It states that the MY05 SLK55 will get an "AMG Speedshift-controlled 7 speed tranny". This is very interesting news and hopfully it will be in the MY05 CLK55 as well. I have attached the link of the article:

performance predictions

The best "fun" AMG model you can probably buy is the upcoming SLK55. Judging by reviews of the SLK350, it has all the ingredients of a true sportscar: accurate and feelsome steering; awesome looks and build quality and a marvellous engine, the 3.5 V6. Its also very lightweight and nimble for a Merc.

Now, the V6 coupled with 7 gears makes for a 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds. Thats with just 350NM and 272hp.

Can you imagine, 510NM and 360hp>?!!!

I bet you might even see 0-60 of the SLK55 in about 4.5-4.9 seconds, therefore rivalling the best supercars out there. The 7 gears tuned by AMG for faster more responsive shifts may make the 0-124mph sprint take 17 seconds or better, again only a second or two away from the best supercars today. Coupled with the dynamic handling and lightweight chassis, it just makes for a great car. Too good in fact. Probably betetr than the SL55 and 65 models, in terms of sheer dynamic ability.

I know this is being a tad optimistic, but the SLK55 could be the "Porsche" of the entire Mercedes lineup! If true its about bloody time!

Unfortunatelly I disagree because I would never pay the big $$$$$ difference to get just few 60lb ft more than my 32,never,ever. In this case I take the porsche.
I have been tested the brand new one E55 and this worth the $$$$ plus. It is a beast, what a difference!
