Exhaust Note
Hi
Newbie here
I'm thinking of putting down a deposit for an SLK55. I drove both the manual and auto 350 but only had the chance to fire up an SKL55 (sold unit). I like the exhaust note and wondering how loud/sweet is the exhaust note (on the 55) when the motor is under load.
So I'd really appreciate if someone could comment on the exhaust note and the engine noise and vibration comparing to the 350.
It's a lovely car... it makes me smile just sitting in it

The SLK55 is one of my favorite cars of all time. I've seen many, driven many, but this one is it. I drove a 350 but a 55 is a different beast... in a good way! The exhaust note is just beautiful, nothing like it! It's one of those cars you turn the radio completely off, and put the window down just a bit (if the top is up) to hear the growl.

Thanks for the link... both sound very good. I drove the 350 with the top up (winter here) and didn't hear that much exhaust note from inside.... I thought the v6 was a bit harsh at high rpm ...and wish it had a bit more power to really push you into the seat
I suppose the almighty AMG is alot smoother (less vibration) and the torque comes in early , really early
does anyone know how many AMGs will come to Canada in a year?
