Shipping time
I ordered my SLK55 on Jan 31 '05. As of Mar 9, the status of my car was...produced & built!! Holy cow, that was fast! The car is now waiting to be shipped. My question is this - I live in California, so do the "Benz" ships go to the east coast and then the car is trucked/trained out west? Or, do the ships go to west-coast ports such as L.A. or S.F.? I am trading in my '98 C5 Corvette (which took 4.5 months from date-of-order to delivery), and I'm really looking forward to my new ride. Any info anyone out there can provide regarding shipping times, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I drive a E55T, SLK55 and 65 Mustang Conv.
We got our SLK55 12/04 and it was "supposed" to some into LA but the port was so backlogged they ended up sending it to Texas of all places and then bt train and truck to LA.
