It surely can be done, right?
First, have Brabus or somebody else enlarge the SLK 55's engine to 6.1 liters or more if possible (that will by itself get you to over 440 horsepower), then put in the high-powered Kleemann supercharger ..... that should yield atleast 680 horsepower ... maybe well over 700 is possible ....
Now enlarge the fenders so that much much wider tires can be put on .. and it gets really interesting .....

There are several exotic wrecks in Australia, one of them is the original McClaren road machine - someones birthday present that lasted about 3 days.

Why weaken the engine when placing the added stress of the supercharger for a marginal performance upgrade? Doesn't make sense to me. I'd do one or the other. Might as well replace the retractable hard top and electric motor with a fixed CF.
As you stated, the real weak point at that level is indeed the rear tires.

But the least gain occurs when you bore out an already supercharged engine.
But you're right, even 100HP is hardly marginal.
I'd take the bored out engine over the SC anyday. Less lag, better sound.
29G is alot of $$$ though.

I agree about the traction problem. But one could install that limited slip differential with 60% lock. Anybody has any idea if it is possible to put some kind of high performance type all wheel drive system on a rear wheel drive car. Say, 30% front and 70% rear!?! Just a thought!:v
