thats an unbelieveable mod... having an SLR engine is great but why spend that much money for the engine and instal when u can probably buy one for a bit more!?!? anyway if it is real good luck getting that power out of the car and on the ROAD!!!!

WOW, that's nice photoshop work. Except the hood looks it's just 1 pixel thin - so maybe more of a thick border on those close-up shots? Also, you should make that front plate a little more believeable. I've lived in the middle east, and have yet to see a dog on a leash out there - that's very American.

Kleeman SLK55 S8 is almost a SLR engine. I think the performance might be close. I've got to have one to go with me E55.

Uhm, I think it's a Photoshop. Look closely at the front plate in the 1st pic. Then look at the 2nd pic, if u look closely enough, you can make out the letter F on the left of the plate in the 2nd pic.

GUYS for gods sake... i edited the pic so that the number plate wont show for privacy reasons... ooo WTF ill post the pic with the real lisence plate ... ohh and for all you guys who think its a photoshop edit.... all i can say is i DONT GIVE FIVE F**KS what you think. i go thru the trouble of secretly getting these pics cause if my uncle finds out hell woop my *** and all u guys can say and doo is call me a lier... I say post more pics from different angles if you can...The cutouts look odd and the whole license plate fiasco did not help. Although I know that the UAE has a lot of money...the majority of the gulf countries do..so if anyone was going to do anything like that .... it would be there....

I would have just gotten an SLR myself if I had that type of cash to burn.. but maybe they like the SLK body better...hmmmm

Suggest that you send the pics to Autoweek or Road & Track as they love to take a look at what people have done with respect to "super" tuning their cars. It would be a great article and fun to boot. Go for it.

Try not to take it personally. We get a lot of fakers with low post numbers around here. I don't usually get involved. But, I hate to see people make 100% conclusions as to the authenticity of a photo. People can say, that looks funny, or parts have definitely been edited, but the best way for people to keep their feet out of their mouths is to be specific about what looks off and keep an optimistic outlook.

I think most people have trouble with believing that engine would fit, even with hood openings that seem only to serve the collision submarining angle of the engine. Personally, I have no trouble believing this has been done. As to why, people should remember, that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and eccentric people do odd things that don't necessarily make sense. An abundance of wealth can go a long way to making these whims a reality. Hope this helps explain our plight. Personally, by european and american design standards, the cutouts look a little funky, but perhaps this meshes well with middle easter design cues. Personally, I think it does. Take it easy over there in Dubai. I don't know if we have anyone from here in Dubai yet, so that could really help bring some extra perspective to our discussions.

I don't see why the car wouldn't be able to accept the SLR engine. It's still a 5.5 liter, just that it has a HUGE air intake which will need to be compromised.

The cutouts seem to be made to accept the higher standing of the SLR engine, and it seems like some of the cutouts have been done with a dremel as you can see some shaving on the edges (which might have been whited out to keep to the color of the body).

Let's see some pics of it with the engine cover open, it's interesting to see someone attempt this. Hey, they've placed 5 liter engines in a teeny Miata, so why not swap a 5.5 SLR engine with the 5.5 AMG one

Cutting the hood would have been mandatory due to the taller engine with at least as much pitch for crash safety.
