Front grill changes?
I find the front end of the 55 kinda busy looking. One objection is the shiny black horizontal fin amidst the shorter, flat black fins. Do the non-AMG SLKs have this odd fin? If not, I assume an ordinary SLK grill will fit the AMG. Anyone know?

Are you referring to the hood or the grille? What "fin" do you mean?

Well, it's not as straightforward as I hoped. I'm talking about the grill located below the hood in the nose of the car. I looked more closely and saw that the center (larger) fin has cutouts for it in the surrounding plastic, so eliminating it would require replacing a fair amount of front end plastic.

But if anyone has any better ideas...

not sure what you mean but I changed my black front grill insert for the chrome one which I think looks way better
