Who is in the DC Metro area?
and what good places are there to do mods on an slk 55 or do I have to take it out of town?
I definitely want to get the windows tinted too, any recs?

I live in DC (actually just outside the beltway), but I haven't looked into mods. However, if you know of a good car wash, I'd love to hear about it...the guys at work are complaining that I haven't washed it yet (had it since March 1).

I know of 3 places
one in Arlington bte Wilson and Clarendon Blvds
one off of Wisconsin Ave in G'town
and one in Rockville
These are not car washes per say as I would not put it thru a car wash.. these are detail ppl that will do an express wash

I am in Rockville.... not too far from you! I am just looking at the options available...I know I would like to do the engine at some point.
The closest Kleemann dealer I found was in PA.
For my last car I did look at Brabus and went to see them in CA...it was wild what they could do...but I decided against it as I wanted to wait until I got this car.

Your options are slim to none for any engine modifications in our area. If you are looking for any shops who are authorized dealers and installers of anything aftermarket for your Slk ie. Kleemann, RennTech, Barbus, Carlsson etc, you have to look out of state. Depends on what you are looking for as far as modifications and how wild you are trying to get. As far as window tinting is concerned, call and ask for Alex at Details, Details, Details in Rockville near Montgomery College across from College Plaza.
PS: Im a fitness/health nut also, far from the competition level but it is an obsessive way of life for me...I work out at WSC on Old Georgetown Rd. Drop me a line some time.

Thanks Jason... I have used Details, Details Details in the past and will give them a ring for the tinting...
PES Tuning in PA is not too far ..so that may be where I end up.
I used to be a member at WSC but now I rotate btw Golds- Rockville, Fitness First -Rockville and Results in DC. I am in the gym so much that I get burnt out and always have to change the scene.
