For you guys that own both - tell me honestly - forgetting the interior presentation of the vette for a minute:

Does the vette interior, because it is bigger, give you a better feeling than the SLK? Is roominess a factor? Also, very important since I'm thinking about a c6 - how is the vette's ride quality? I test drove one w/standard suspension and felt like I was driving a ford escort. I'm going to go look at the z51 or F55 (magnetic suspension) next.

Thanks!

I realy like the ride of teh Z06. To me feel like a cady. The intirior is ok. Although beign alot bigger, it does give you a different driving feel. The SLK and Vette are 100% different cars, intended for different things. The vette was a born race car. The SLK is a car that was designed as a drop top from the begining. I would compare teh SLK to an S2000, Carrara C2, and other small roadsters before a vette. own em both!!

Hmmm. I'd love to own both - but I've only got 1 extra garage bay!! Regardless of how much horsepower I get, I'm a cruiser. So, when the c6 "felt like a caddy" - was the c6 ride like the SLK's on regular roads?

Out of the 2 vettes I have owned, both have been Z06's. I heard the regular c5 is softer. I also heard the new C6 is softer riding than the old Z and most likely the new Z coming out. As others have mentioned, these are not comparable cars.
