Renntech Mods.

So I just got my 55 back from the tuning shop. I took the plunge on intake, headers and chip. The pre mods dyno was 295 - 300 rwhp. Post mods was 325 -330.

I must say, I am very happy. The car really seems to have moved to a whole new level. The engine dynamics are amazing. The headers add even a little more growl to the already great sound.

Now I begin saving for a supercharger for the spring.

Could I get a pic of the Intake? I'm guessing you are referring to the Carbon Fiber Air Box. I'm really interested in one!

Thanks

I used ICS Performance in Stamford, Ct. Brian and George are partners. They're really great guys.

Found the pic,

Rob, let me ask you: Do you recommend the Airbox? I plan on taking a Kleemann route to mod my SLK, but am very attracted to the Renntech Airbox. Is it worth the claimed 10hp/10tq?

Thanks

Renntech Box

That's the box dinko. I don't have to post the photo. Tough to say if you get the 10/10 gain as I did headers, box and chip all at once. Also, the dyno test was rwhp. If you can extrapolate the rwhp to engine hp it seems that Renntech's claim would be correct. BTW, in case you didn't know, Renntech box uses green filters i/o red.

For the $$, I wish Renntech would offer the front cover in CF too! Greenfilters are awesome, I have them on my set up right now

Let us know how you do on the track

Yeh, I know what you mean. I'm getting the cover painted black, keeping the merc emblem as is. It should look better that way.
