2013 SLK55 AMG palladium silver w/Bengal red leather
Does anyone recall...?
I'm trying to find a SLK55/Boxster S comparo that I saw in a car mag a few months ago. NOT the one in April 05 Motor Trend. It wasn't in one of the big 3 (Motor Trend, Car & Driver, Road & Track). Ring a bell? Thanks.

I have the article but, sorry, don't have a scanner available. The article is very favorable to the SLK55. In fact both writers were Porsche owners and preferred the SLK55 this time around. There is a web site for the magazine and I think they will sell back issues, but I can't remember the address. I did a search for Sports Cars International and found it pretty easlily. Good luck.

Frenchie - I found the web site. Try sci-mag.com. I think you can order back issues. It's the July 2005 issue. It's a good article. The SLK 55 they use is Orion blue, the color of mine. Good luck.

Don't forget that in that particular test they were comparing the SLK55 to a damaged Boxster so some of the negatives aimed at the Porsche were later retracted once they discovered the suspension damage (done by a previous magazine reviewer). Once it was fixed the co-writer of the article reveiwed the same car again and said it was amazingly good (no mention of the SLK55 in the second article as it was a Porsche mag).

Thanks, HarryH, for the URL. They do indeed sell back issues and that one is listed as available. I'll order it Tuesday. I read the comparo at the store back in July but didn't buy the mag. That was when I thought my next car would be a C6. Now it's a countdown to the build and delivery of my SLK 55.
