Some pics from when I swapped my 55 with a 360 Modena
A bit lazy to go posting everything all over again for the 3rd or 4th time, so if you want to see the full story and pic, here you go: http://www.tournament.com/forums/sho...hreadid=177562
I'm really quite proud of my 55, it holds up extremely well against cars such as the Modena, and in some instances surpasses it. However, I think I'd do almost anything to have a 360

Nice pictures shinigami!
so you think the 55 was able to hang and surpases the 360? it is possible especially from a rolling start.. it will be nice you would have taken some video clips...
thanx anyways for the story and pics..

SLK 55 AMG
From a rolling start, the SLK fares quite well, but the Modena is a tad faster nevertheless (my tires are beginning to get quite used tho'... I've done lots of burn outs and I have over 23 thousand km's on them).
I wrote a longer writeup on mbnz.org, but here it is again:
I drove an F1 gearbox equipped 360 a few months back, and if I recall correctly, I gave my impressions back then... (on other forums).
The 360 is really quite fun to drive. Reminded me of the time I drove an Opel Speedster. Why? Well, you need to really pay attention when driving, hold onto that steering wheel as it tends to dart around a bit, you need to do constant nudges to keep yourself driving straight, whilst on the SLK you need to just do micro-adjustments).
There were some vibrations and rattles contrary to my SLK which is very quiet. The ride is a little bit harder, but hey, this is what I'd associate as a track car, so it fits it well.
The H-gate shifter is precise and wonderful to use. Definitely one of the most fun I've used. The clutch easier to use then in a Maranello. I drive a lot of automatics these days, so my 'grip' on a manual is nothing special, but not once did I stall the car.
Brakes might be a hint less effective then in my 55, but using the engine brake (i.e. downshifting) really helps stop the 360 quickly.
The 360 had no Tubi exhaust, so the noise was not super loud, but when revving past 6000rpm, the engine really came alive.
Those are just some things that come to mind.
A very nice car and one I'd love to have, especially as I just ADORE the look of her

The most important thing that when you went out of the 360 , you were proud of the 55... some people when they exchange cars , and they return to their own cars they just get demotivated and sometimes regret their cars compared to the car they have driven...
