Sounds like those harmonic crystal bracelets you wear to help your athletic performance and speed injury healing.

AMG parts from Japan with all these seemingly false claims?
I'd stay away, far far away

W203 slightly modified
Why would someone countersink a hole if the cable lug sits on top of the flange ?

It is just a novelty scrap metal with a sticker on it.

I'm getting them for the HP gain. Their claim can't be wrong - it's on the Internet and you know everything there is on the up and up.

GAIN INSTANT HORSEPOWER 8-15HP

Gang,

Electrical ground wires are not a gimick. They have been in place for decades for all engines (including rotaries - I've got some on my RX-7). There are many manufacturers for grounding kits & they do increase the electrical current flow (ie helps for better spark). Some people augment ground wires with an ignition amplifier for yet even more spark (especially effective in higher RPM ranges).

Yes. It makes a negliable difference for N/A motors, especially one that is stock (maybe 10 Hp @ the flywheel?). However, for FI powerplants (especially modded), its almost a requirement. You can't add more air & more fuel, yet keep a stock spark supply (well you can, but your leaving power on the table). Its bad enough with my RX-7 that the stock ignition can't handle it (it can be seen on the dyno plot where the power curve starts breaking up & becoming erratic - not enough electrical power to produce enough spark causes incomplete combustion). Hope this helps?

Thanks a lot Matt!
I still had doubt about it so went to do a quick search and yeah, I guess you are right, they do help in some hp and torque gains.
awesome!! like +10 hp and torque :p

However, I was just wondering where would the ground wires be fitted to though? Would I have problems installing it myself??

It actually pretty simple. The "ground" can simply be the frame of your car. If you don't feel comfortable tinkering under the hood w/your new SLK (understandable), you can find a local race or custom speed shop to do the work for you (its not an "SLK" specific application & will take about 45 minutes to install.....just talk w/them first to ensure they have experience wrenching on sports cars to ensure they aren't idiots - for lack of a better word :p ). See ya.

A close friend of mine installs these on all his vehicles. He doesn't own any sports cars so I don't know about hp gains. He does see a difference in electric power. For example, before the install, his power windows would raise quickly if only one at a time. When raising all windows, they moved at a slower pace. After the install, they moved at the faster pace under any condition. He said there were some other noticable electrical differences but I can't seem to recall them
