If the dates are right I’ll make a run out and see what the Murci and Spider can do

The SLK55 engine IS the SL55 engine isn't it? the only real difference being the SLK doesn't have the supercharger/turbo that the SL does.
SLK55 COMPRESSION RATIO

Mercedes dropped the compression ratio in its AMGV8K engines to 9:1. This allows them to use a high boost s/c running at 14psi whereas the Kleemann and HPs set up run at 8psi. You cannot simply use the same s/c on the SL55 and plug it into the SLK 55 because the compression ratio is too high and the engine will blow.

..........the engines are physically the same. But the compression ratio as it relates to s/c boost pressure is important because, it partly explains why a W211 E500 with a Kleemann s/c is not as fast as the a W211 E55. Likewise, the SL55 is not simply an SLK with a s/c. The E55 s/c is running at considerably higher boost. Kleemann is now working on lower compression engines for this purpose. As I understand it, the the E63 et al will be at fairly high compression and to get more power from the engine will be difficult except if the compression is lowered or the s/c used will have to have too low a boost as to not make too much additional power.
