Let's Discuss Rotors

All CLK55/SLK55 owners:

My SLK55 is getting closer to 20k miles and I would like to replace my rotors soon. I'm not too happy with our current rotors fro two reasons: 1) they are heavy compared to two-peace rotors and 2) Brembo designed them for only 1 side, so the passanger side is facing the wrong direction and not cooling our brakes as well as the driver side brake system.

To replace the front rotors alone, will cost $1,600 ($800 a piece). And I didn't bother asking how much the rear ones were, but I'm sure the total for all 4 would exceed $2,000. Evosport on the other hand sells 2 piece rotors that are designed specifically for the left & right side of the car and will give us less unsprung weight.

I've tried in the past to gather a group-buy to purchase the $2,000 rotors that Evosport has been selling to the E/S/SL/CL, etc. guys. No one was interested because many of you thought it was not worth it to spend $2k on 4 rotors, while the Evo deal is really better than it sounds.

I know I had at least a few people interested in this, so why not give it another shot? And no, I am in no way affiliated with Evosport -- just want the best for my car.

So who's at least interested?

I can try to help you out.
Is it just for the R171 and W209, or what other applications would work if this goes through?

Add yourself to the list if you are interested.
