Almost here
Heard today from my dealer sales rep that my 55 has cleared customs in LA, and has been picked up for transport to SF. May have it as soon as Sunday -- can't wait! Will post photos as soon as I can, as well as a few subjective comparisons with my beloved 1991 M5, bought new by me and recently sold to (partially) finance the new 55.
I have to say that the V1 rear-view mod is particularly sweet, so I'll be thinking about that pretty immediately. The Kleeman blower may have to wait a bit, as I've just bought my parents a car for their joint 80th birthdays (a Toyota -- their interest in which is as clear a sign as any that the US auto industry is in deep trouble), so will have to save up my nickels and dimes for a little while...

My mistake -- good catch! 
Looked at the wrong month on my calendar. Actual order date was September 25th, build date October 17, delivery date November 27. The dealer already had a spot reserved in the production queue, which they were able to re-spec to my preferred color and options.
