Show me the turbo kit for a 5.4L MBs we can bolt on please... and are we also fogetting about a little thing call extreme heat? sorry, your turbo story is not all peaches and cream.
I met with a guy who makes the most amazing custom turbo manifolds as a living; to make custom headers for me. Turbo-technology guru/god; he's working on a rotary powered Beetle in his garage with the most amazing turbo system I've ever seen as a long-term build as an example. When he took a look @ my C43, let's just say he was less then enthusiastic of attempting to turbocharge that engine bay.
So it could be 100x more efficient then a S/C; if we can't fit the plumbing, what good does it do us?

Have a look at the APS website, they can fit two turbos on a 350Z which is a pretty tight engine bay so i would not write off turbocharging an SLK based on what a guy tuning a beetle reckons. Also have a look at the LS1 system, the turbos are mounted under the car.

I just got a message from HPS. They told me a C55 customer of theirs just made an additional 179 hp vs. my 147 hp gain by just installing an exhaust. Adam F will be posting his dynos shortly. That's a 32 hp improvement and it did'nt void the HPS warranty either. HPS and Mechtech are jointly upgrading my car by adding the pulley kit, larger fuel injectors, ECU recalibration and K&N filters and perhaps upgraded cooling and pumps. Afterwards I will install pressure gauges, a CAT back Exhaust system, Quaife LSDs and possibly Headers and Camshafts. My goal is to get an additional 200 hp and I won't stop until I get there.

BTW -- how much boost is the gen 2 HPS system running?

I spoke with Brandon (owner of C55 HPS) and he told me that the ONLY thing he did was remove the resonator and replace the straight pipes to 2 1/2" from the stock 2". The total cost was only $500. As a matter of fact he is going to take me to the same muffler shop that did the job on his.
He did not add anything else since I called him Friday and asked. He is also waiting on the results of my HPS pulley kit, larger injector and ECU upgrade. We both want to add the headers and possibly camshafts. I am probably going with additional cooling even though Brandon nor HPS felt it was unnecessary.I am paying him a visit since he lives only 20 miles away from me this week.
I was about to post the dynos but probably should wait until I get permission from Brandon himself. Hopefully I can post it tommorow.

I've heard/read that the Kleemann exhaust can improve hp numbers a bit, but not by 30ponies. It's the headers swap which really changes things by adding a whole 30, or even 40hp to the car.

As I already stated above. He WANTS to add the headers. ALL he did was cut the straight pipes out and replace them with 1/2" wider diameter pipes + remove the resonators. That's all! I was planning to have this done today but he just back into town and needed to catch up on sleep. We are planning to do this during this week. I will post MY dynos after the pulley kit, Fuel injector upgrade AND what he did. Should be interesting...

I am going to call him after lunch and post again when I will meet him and his car. I would also like to have my car dyno'd at HOP if you would pay for it. I'm not biased at all and just want to know the truth as much as you do. I work in Santa Ana so I don't think it would be problem to meet at HOP or the DC Performance shop to validate the dyno.

I just spoke with the owner of the phantom HPS C55. We are meeting at DC Performance on Wednesday to have both HIS and my car dyno'd. If you want to witness this yourself just show up.

Like the guy said Mark, just show up and check it out for yourself. The DC Performance shop is a true independent shop. We all know the HOP shop is a direct competition HPS, Kleemnan...etc. I'm sure HOP will pre-load their dyno for the lowest possible gain if they know you're coming because they have one of those "load" dyno !!

No Games...NO Stories...You can Bring Yours on over also...Josh Will NOT play games..Just looking for the REAL story....FACTS...Not Blue sky! Watch him reset the dyno ...No Pre load games
You Won a Free Dyno from Josh/HOP and were going to get the dyno done until Josh stated NOW we will see the real Numbers...Then YOU declined the Dyno..
Again all I want to see is a HPS dynoed on a Independent Dyno...Josh has a NEW dyno and Will NOT (Load ) it as You stated....
Bring your car over!!
Btw I do NOT work for HOP or have a HOP system... Just looking for REAL Numbers...as Vadim has stated...the Numbers Look WRONG!
hey If they are real The Independent Dyno will NOT Lie...
Bring them over!
Im Done.. bring it over and I will Pay for it..

I will second Mark.
Numbers look high and the TQ curve looks ODD.
We could be wrong.
Prove us wrong.
Bring it to HOP.
Dynojet can not be manipulated.
Drum weight is fixed and weather station can be verified.
I am now independent and have no affilaition to anyone but myself. And I do not make SC kit for MBs.
What do you or Adam have to loose?
If numbers are true, both Mark and myself will be witnesses and will confirm the results.
HPS will sell more kits than ever.

I can bring my car as long as Adam F and Bill K are there to witness the dyno setting. How about next Tuesday or Wed? I am having my car dyno'd at DC Performance day after tomorrow (Wed) and leaving on business trip on Friday.
Why don't you PM SUPERC55 (Brandon's the owner of this +179HP car) and see if he can make next Tues or Wed. I will ask HPS to attend if you don't mind.

There are quite a few Josh's. Is it Josh K with the HOP Vortech, AMGDRAGON Josh from Vegas, I think there are a few more Josh's. Which one? Is this Josh the owner of House of Power? Mark, What is your relation to Josh? Why can't Josh/owner of HOP speack up on this forum?

Then again.....why would you not want to come to DC shop for a free dyno show? Why does it have to be HOP? I would never trust HOP after all the unproffesional conduct in the forum. But Vadim is a difference story. I meet Vadim a couple time at his shop and i can say that trust him fully. The guy is a super nice guy. I don't forget what he has done for me about 4 years ago. I'll be more then happy if you (Mark) offer me free dyno on my CL at Vadim shop. I'm off this Friday and Monday. We can do either days. Let me know.
