V1/K40 Hardwire, CF Front Splitters, C2Design, etc.

Lots of pictures over the past couple days from the largest Kleemann dealer...
Kleemann Lip goes on sometime next week, was delayed due to the paint shop.

I was told that the pieces of the B pillar will also be CF'd:

V1 Housing/Pod:

K40 Laser:

Volume Knob & Speaker for V1:

Completed:

CF Spliters:

Some questions

Thanks for all the pics Dinko ... the cars look great. Can you send me some info about C2? I'm curious if they are going to make a CF hood ... also do you know what the weight savings are for the top and b pillars? Since this is a front heavy car I'd think going CF in the front would be more helpful?

Btw, I've contacted the company that modded Matt's car and unless his lie includes them ... I'm pretty sure he has done all the mods he has said. I can't wait till he finally gets his camera for some PICS! Matt, since the meet didn't happen lets fine some time and go grab some coffee.

Regards,

Jesse

TS6's

They do look hot, but they are on backwards. They are supposed to look like this (forgive the lousy photo - no tire shine):

Funny you mention this. I placed a order with Performanceproducts.com just yesterday, got the overnight "red-saturday" shipping, and nothing shipped. I called Perfproducts, and was told by Kenny that he does not have my complete shipping number from UPS -- strange!

The parts were due today, and I am VERY disappointed. Was hoping to make it a Chrsitmas present for myself. Monday or Tuesday I will call Perfproducts back and request my shipping money back. Hopefully the package makes it here quick!

I agree though, the CF should look hot!

Again, nothing personal against Matt, I'm dying to see the pics. But it's just the type of person I am. I like to see everything Black on White before I believe it. I don't know details on the top & pillars, you'll need to contact C2D -- I'll send you their Email.

If you want a CF hood, they'll make one. Simple as that. That is one the list for future mods, but mine will be painted same color as car. This is a plan for DOWN the road, nothing soon.

You sure? Does Kleeman make 4 different wheels for the slk?

Well I suppose you could put them on any way you want. But if you look at Kleeman's web site or any Kleeman brochure you will see them raked the way mine are. So there aren't four different wheels. There is a right side and a left side.

Interesting... although it would be four different wheels as the fronts are probably slimmer than the rears. i wonder if the owner of the first pic didn't order the wheels right.

We installed the wheels only temporarily so we could get the car off the lift and get Dinko's on. KLEEMANN wheels are most definitley directional wheels and the fronts are not on the care correctly.

Since you are spending so much money on your car why did you leave out something as useful as the premium package (and Airscarf)?

The car I had originally ordered had Red/Black interior and ALL options. However, it was due Feb/March of 2005. The one I am driving was purchased in Nov. 2004 because the original person who ordered the car backed out -- dealer gave me a ring, and I picked it up the next day.

I am very upset that it does not have Airscarf - hell, it's a $350 dollar option!!! And if spending this much money on a car, I don't understand why someone would leave it a couple options.

On another note, I don't even have Navigation - which will be taken care of this week by MBenzNL.

wow, beautiful Dinko!

btw, are the v1 sensors in that cf housing? can they "see" the road correctly? that's awesome!

I love the cf splitters, now that's something that every SLK55 should have!

great job!

Hate to say it but you may suffer the "I should have just waited a few more weeks to get what I wanted" syndrome. The two tone seats add a lot to the interior (wish I had got either black/red or ash/black myself.

Are you going to add the Auto Climate control (nice and looks great) and have MB activate the auto windshield wipers (a must have in Florida)? Also how do you handle your garage door opener? I live in a gated community so having the OEM opener built in is super nice.
