What are you talking about... that time is great and the mph is even more impressive. Very Nice Run!!!
11.7 @ 119 is a great run!
I'm with Ted_Baldwin in that he probably won't be able to improve his 1/4 time by that much being that he ran that 11.7 with a 1.7 60'. That's a great launch! Now that I've got a set of Mickey Thompson DR's, I'm hoping to cut a 1.7 60' but have absolutely no expectations to hit the 1.6 range.
Are you running the car at sea level? Obviously elevation has a lot to do with 1/4 times too.

Chris (C2D),
How are you? Good to see that you're back at it breaking records. You did an awesome job on my car and I wouldn't have ever gotten 10's without you. Congrats on the SLK, those are awesome times!
PS Watch for me in the Cannonball One Lap of America. I just finished upgrading the turbos in the Noble and am putting down 454hp/433lbft in a 2300 lb car. My driving is a bit below par but the car rocks.

I think thats probably close to the limit with that setup. With a 60' of 1.7's there isnt much room for improvement on that launch (where time is gained), even if he is new to drag racing. With that being said, this is still one bad *** SLK

Curious what the RWHP is on this S8 - can you let us know/post a dyno sheet? Thanks!Originally Posted by C2D

This was the customer's first time drag racing any car. The car performed flawlessly and with some more practice under his belt, this car will be into the low 11s.
PS - the S8 owner should nix the stock wheels when he/she has the chance they are pretty heavy @ 26.5lbs
See ya,

Old Post I know but there is a way to improve this 1/4 mile time.... if he is short shifting any gears due to lack of traction he is leaving et on the table.. time to move up from dr's to slicks and hammer it WOT through the entire run on a properly prepped track in good air/proper cooldown and see some 10's.
