I hear from a friends girlfriend, who is very sensitive to RSI, that she benefits from this feature a lot, especially during manouvring.

it is not as obvious as BMW's speed sensitive steering.....nevertheless, it's not bad.

I did write that wrong. What I ment to say was it stays too light at higher speeds. Not enough road feel.

Although several others here have said they think the steering is too light at speed, I disagree...I think it's just fine. In fact I had my car up to an indicated 158 MPH (just once) and the steering did not feel light at all...I had expected it to be. It doesn't feel any lighter than my friend's Boxster at speed, although the Boxster provides immensely more feedback in the twisties.

Parameter steering

If anything, the steering is almost too heavy for me at speed -- there's a real difference as speed increases. My 512TR, which has no power steering at all, is a real ***** to parallel park, but is actually lighter to steer at 80 mph than my 55.

I feel it is fine at high speed....it is at really slow speeds, like when you initially start it and pull out that makes me feel kinda wierd with the lightness.
