Slk 63???
You will NOT see a 2007 AMG SLK63.
It MIGHT be possible to see a MY 2008, announced in 2007, with first production capability in late 2007. This would be general availability for most of us mere mortals in 2008.
However, MB has not officially decided ANYTHING yet concerning SLK63.
But having said that, I have a hunch the 63 will come out in a few years time.

I can tell you officially that no SLK63 will come for the next 3 years.
There is already an upgrade version with 400hp.
However comparing the market conditions no roadster will have more hp as already the SLK55 has.
For infor the Z4 M coupe will have only 343hp.Mercedes strategy will rely on the future to keep the same engine with probably great output of 400hp.
Maybe for the facelift version there could be offered an SLK63, However I doubt that.
Please check my posts for degree of trusts. See also thread of my hypothesis for predicting the CLK63 before any thought off.
Kind regards from Germany,
GG

Well, anyway, good luck with the 63 if it does come out. As the poster just above mentioned, AMG is offering a 400hp kit for limited use in Europe, and it'll probably come out globally as well...
400hp in this car is "a lot", so having 500 or more is truly a killer (of all other roadsters in this segment, that is).

Already mentioned in previous threads. Same CF roof, the CF side vents and so on, and so on...

"CLK 63 AMG Coupé and Cabriolet
In the CLK 63 AMG Coupé and Cabriolet models too, which are likewise making their world debut in Geneva, the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine creates an awesome driving experience. The CLK 63 AMG produces more power and torque – 354 kW/481 hp and 630 Newton metres – than any other vehicle in this class. The new AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC transmission complements it perfectly, helping to ensure dynamic power delivery.
The new AMG sports suspension, new 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels and luxurious and dynamic standard appointments add to the exclusive and sporty theme of the CLK family. In addition, the front wheels are equipped with a new AMG high-performance composite brake system.
The dynamic AMG bodystyling, featuring a new, more distinctively contoured front apron with side air vents, underscores the CLK 63 AMG's position as a sporty flagship model combining dynamism with exclusiveness. These qualities are also on display in the interior of the two eight-cylinder models, for example in the new AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel, multicontour AMG sports seats and exclusive nappa leather upholstery."
I'm assuming this's the detuned 63 (62 if you're ****) motor AMG's thinking about putting in the SLK. That's not bad at all...Around 481hp & 465tq!

For sure there will be a SLK 63 AMG! Around November 2006? Das ist ganz verrueckt!

Personally, my (pure) speculation, is that an SLK63 would be priced at a good premium (see all the discussion on how it would impact SL further, etc.). The SLK350 price wouldn't be affected at all, so MB may want to continue to have the SLK55 slotted in there between SLK350 and SLK63. I don't think they would drop the price on the 55 (the car mags already all write it up as the best bargain MB in fleet).
So you could even postulate that an SLK63 would enhance the SLK55, as it would garner more positive write-ups etc, and that would "rub off" on the other models.
Just the way the SLK55 "enhances" the SLK350, in my opinion.

seems to me that the slk63 will be roughly 510hp from what i have been told. it will be a monster. i can't wait!!

Still, that's a pretty good number

But I stand by it, there has been no information that points to an SLK63 for MY2007.
