benzmods: true true, an increase of only a few % won't be felt. I think if it's above 10%, then you might begin to get the disparity needed to "feel" the change.
Small changes may mean that the engine responsiveness increases, but you won't feel the speed anymore then that. Up the power by 40-50hp on the 55, and I think you've got yourself some real feedback, but any less then this and it's purely psychological.
I changed my filters to K&N's, mostly to improve engine noise, which it did, but... I mean, very little. Hardly any change. I think there might be a little better responce when banging down on the accelerator pedal, but it will save me some bucks in the long run due to filter changes not being needed.
