Brabus Side Skirt w/ LED

Hey Guys,

I'm interested in the Brabus Side Skirts with LEDs (the ones that points torwards the ground). I called Brabus and they quoted be $2600 (painted and installed). Does that sound crazy to you guys? I know there are members on the board (such as Harris) that can get good discount off of Brabus equiptment. I can't imagine side skirts costing that much! Have any of you guys gotten it? Harris, can you hook it up? Thanks.

Ohh by the way, I was driving on the 10, swerved to avoid a pot hole and hit a small rock! The rock put a hole on my left side skirt!!! You can't really see it unless you actually bend down to look at the front of the side skirt, but at an angle you can kinda see it. This sucks!!!

2006 Brabus B55 (Brabus Modified SLK55)
As you know, I had a lot of work done by BRABUS NA in Newport. They wouldn't touch the side skirts on my SLK55 - they said the AMG one's look better than theirs. Also, they won't install the "puddle lights" on the AMG side skirts because they don't fit.

Who did you talk to at BRABUS????

I spoke with Andreis and Eric. I found another kit on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

But I don't know how reliable it is.

I agree with you about the Brabus side skirts, they don't look as nice.

I suggest trying to look into other tuner brands, rather than purchasing a sideskirt from Australia! Just my thought...

Hey Adam, what other tuners have these puddle lights?

Hey Angie, I'd probably wire it to the fog lights. Or maybe to where the illuminated door sills would wire to.

Xaveon. Why don't you just go out and buy a ricer ? You seem to completely unhappy with most aspects of the Mercedes and seem keen to mod it with tacky stuff.
Go get a Civic ......they do great spoilers and lamps for those. You can even make them noisier than a 55

I think you're the first one this forum to say that Brabus upgrades are tacky. You say that I am "completely unhappy with most aspects of the Mercedes", why? Because I wanted to see if an option was available to be retrofitted (Keyless Go) to my SLK? It was an option that I've always had on my other Mercedes (CLK500). So from that you got that I am "completely unhappy with most aspects of Mercedes"?

As for puddle lights being tacky, that is your opinion, and of course you are entitled to your own opinion. If you read the post, you’ll notice that everyone that has responded contributed to answering the thread. Maybe you are new to Mercedes; clearly you are new to this board. Let me remind you once again (for the second time), that this forum is a place for Mercedes enthusiasts to congregate and help each other find the solutions they are looking for.

I would like to believe that Mercedes owners are well educated professionals that can offer something more then worthless comments. I would like to ask that from now on, you please stop responding of my threads with worthless comments. I welcome any posts that contribute to answering the thread. But before you post, please just ask yourself; “Is what I’m about to say going to help this person at all, or am I just being a useless a$$hole”? Very simple question.

For those of you thinking it; no, not all British people are uneducated a$$holes, a large majority of British people are very respectful and charming.

And for those of you guys reading this, I am sincerely sorry for wasting your time with this nonsense. I am just tired of ignorant people that post useless comments.

Yawn

[QUOTE=xaveon]I think you're the first one this forum to say that Brabus upgrades are tacky.

I didn't say Brabus upgrades were tacky, although some are. I was referring to the Ebay auction link you posted in an earlier post

You say that I am "completely unhappy with most aspects of the Mercedes", why? Because I wanted to see if an option was available to be retrofitted (Keyless Go) to my SLK?

And Distronic and linguatronic and powdercoated calipers then on top of that you have bemoaned the Comand, The satelite radio and the steering wheel controls...and thats just off the top of my head

It was an option that I've always had on my other Mercedes (CLK500). So from that you got that I am "completely unhappy with most aspects of Mercedes"?

I don't see any replies that contribute with the exception of Beleriand who is basically saying don't do it. I guess you must be reading a different thread :-)

Maybe you are new to Mercedes

NO

Regards the rest of your ramble, I think you are an a$$hole.
