Did you know our command unit can play DVD+-Rs? I stopped using my 6 cd changer once I found this out, I don't know if this info will even help u, but I just wanted to let u know in case you didn't. Also, the CD changer takes up the entire glove compartment and makes noises, i would much rather get a ipod kit installed.

Let us know what you decide to do, though.

The US spec glove compartment seems to be smaller then the Euro spec, so yes, the 6-disc changer in there takes up all the space. But it doesn't make noise on my car...

Do you have COMAND? If so, you can burn MP3 CD's and DVD's. You can have over 100hours of music on one DVD

It only works from the front. The one in the back is exclusively for the Navigation DVD - nothing else will work in there.
