How to clean SLK interior!!
Hi everybody!
I noticed that the material of the interior of our SLK is very delicate and hard to keep clean .... I have some small white spots on the door pannels ... i tried to clean with some water... but they are hard to remove....
Any ideas ???
Thanks a lot

for the instrument cluster and sat nav screen, you can use pre packaged optical wipes that you can buy at the drug store (same stuff you use for glasses). Anything else can leave scratches and swirls. The sat nav screen especially is riduculously delicate.

You should have received an interior cleaning cloth with the car. It's very good with a little water as stated.

Net:
- light dirt, use white microfiber cloth included with the car, dampened
- "medium" dirty, use white microfiber cloth included with car, dampened, and with a touch of dishwashing liquid
- "real" dirty, use white microfiber cloth included with car, dampended, with MB ****pit Cleaner (in case the auto-censor takes over, that is "C o c kpit Cleaner")
Personally, my routine: take the cloth, put 2-3 DROPS of Dawn Dishwashing Liquid (the blue stuff), and then take it inside and rinse the cloth with warm water, working the soap all into it, and squeezing until not much soap bubbles left. Then go to town. Don't rub SUPER hard, though. Has worked for the last year, removes, skin flakes, skin oil, hand lotion, dust, dirt, shoe marks, etc.

But, it comes in the car in a plastic case that looks a lot like a DVD movie case (except clear/white plastic). It was in the deep (bottom) center armrest compartment.
Don't know if that changed for MY06 or not.

Whatever you use, don't use ....
ArmourAll. It will leave a sticky, dust attracting coating that you will never be able to get rid of. BTW, the white microfiber cloth is really a nano-fiber cloth and works better than any microfiber cloth you might buy at an auto parts store.
