weight?
Lets see how much weight savings I can do ... ultimately I'd like it under 3200lbs.
Also any ideas on transferring some of the weight from front to rear? My car showed that it was around 55% front and 45% rear.

That was a joke Jesse.
Yes, you can do a battery relocation to the trunk which will move 40lbs from the front to the rear = 80 lbs rebalancing putting your SLK at 54/46% (slight improvement). I wouldn't be too concerned with 200 lbs in weight. It will cost significant money & make a minimal impact as your car has more than enough torque to carry its current weight (its not a torqueless/more peaky 6 cylinder - its a blown V8 Jesse - you can pull tree stumps with your right foot
). See ya.-Matt
You know, pay a few thousand bucks for a CF hood. This will drastically improve weight distribution as that sucker is significantly lighter then the already very large, and very heavy hood of the SLK.
I also had a discussion about weight reduction for the SLK over on benz world, and it shouldn't be that hard to reduce weight, since the car comes with so many extras...
Additionally, if you contact AMG, you can get the special Recaro seats for the SLK (will remove 50lb of weight for sure), and of course remove the spare tire from the trunk.
