Heated seats question

Ive noticed in my 55 that when I switch on the heated seats, the heat is all coming from the back rest of the seat and not from underneath. Is this correct?
My mates Audi has the heat coming from underneath as well?
Cheers.

might be a bad or disconnected heat element.

Its an 05 model so heat should also come from underneath right?

The heat should come from underneath and the back. My seat heater became defective and was replaced under warranty. So, if your seat surface underneath is not warming up, then you have a disconnected or defective heater.
