People with summer tires living in the north...do you just not take the car out when it's cold? On http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....Potenza+RE-01R it says they're not intended to be used in near freezing temperatures. What kind of tires do you get? My car spends the winter up north and the summer down south so I dunno what I want to compromise lol.

Another set...
I going on my fourth set of rears at 41K, not a very good average for 3 years of driving. New rears every year of driving - never thought that was possible! Average mpg is at 20.8, not bad for a "gas guzzler," so you know I'm not a heavy footed. No brake pads yet but that's coming soon. Aside from MB's A,B service, tires have been my biggest expense.
I am tired of the Pirelli PZeros. I use my SLK every day (except snow days) I need all of SLK owners input on other brands used...I am checking out Tirerack for other possibilities. Alroumi mention Bridgestones Potenzas, but I couldn't find same load index for these. 88s instead of 92s, could I get away with 88s? F1s I found had 92s....
Any help/input is appreciated.
