Dipstick

OK, I'm becoming convinced that I'm losing my mind. Took the car in for the B service about 200 miles ago. Was under the hood yesterday and noticed that the dipstick tube was empty. I called the dealer and told him. He said that there is no dipstick and that the tube should be plugged. I could almost swear that I've checked the oil that way before. I have a minor distrust of the electronic level sensor. Am I imagining things are do these cars not have a dipstick but a plug in the tube instead?????

The Late cars do not have a dipstick..But One can Buy the dipstick and check the oil with it instead of using the Instrument Cluster
