Although I'm happy someone is producing CF parts, I can't say I like the look of VATH. The front seems like a strange CF cow catcher. In addition, I think it sticks out too far which would make steep driveways very dangerous (to your wallet).

The rear is okay in design if 1)eliminate all the exposed hardware and 2)attach the 'wings'. Why are they raised from the rest of the diffuser?

Agree Dan. That diffuser is not only non functional with gaps, but it looks like it was tacked on at 5:00PM on a Friday.

Neal,

When will you be making one for the post-2006 Clk 500?

I agree with everything Dan says if the wings were attached and those metal bullets were gone it would be really nice... not liking the front lip that much though i would prefer something that would go across the entire front bumper.

No plans for one at this time. Do you know if the bumper is the same as the CLK63? only the CLK63 has the vents on the side?

Something looks off with the VATH front lip and rear diffuser. I'm not feeling it...

That looks like the AMG bumper they fit on a 350. It doesn't have the slits on the side, so my guess would be yes.

Well, the lip we will be coming out with for the SLK55 will not fit an SLK350 with the AMG package since the 2 bumpers are different. If you were talking about that VATH, then it does appear they fit that on an SLK with an AMG package and that will fit a SLK350 and not an SLK55.

Have you guys actually measured the 350 vs the 55? I would have thought they were identical in dimension. I thought the only difference were the side vents.

Yes, the 2 bumpers are totally different in shape. The SLK55 has a very square bumper with a more flat bottom and a straighter side, and the SLK350 AMG bumper is very rounded at the bottom. When you got to attach a lip that was molded around one bumper, it will not even come close to fitting on the other.

Look at the 2 pics carefully, at the bottom of the bumpers, you will see the differences.
