Carbon Fiber Front lip
Wanted to post this to see how much interest there would be. I believe there are a few vendors out there that would be willing to make one for the SLK55 if there was enough interest.
I"m one that would definitely buy!

I think you guys are going to scrape/break that CF lip. I've already scraped the underside of the stock air dam a bit (not much & you can't see it since the scratching is under the car). BUT, with a lower lip added on....it's going to make you guys CRING every time that CF touches the asphalt.
It won't look good if it cracks or breaks either - you will need to take the whole thing off at that point. Just my 2 cents - especially if you are going to shell out a few hundred smackers. It's your call - just something to keep in mind.

yup it will be scraping
I have the carlsson one and I scrape it all the time. I'm expecting its something that you need to replace once in a while.

Therefore, the CF unit would be less expensive, easier and faster to install, and thinner meaning less chance of scraping. Of course, I DO realize that I will scrape from time to time. I'm willing to deal with it.

This is where I'm envious of M3 owners. Their options seem to be endless.

Ive got only one solution is that you get it covered with protective layering both the top and the undersides an example would be 3M clear bra and therefore only the surface area of the protective layering will get scratched instead of the CF unit its self.
How about that Folks ?

vath
alroumi are you saying the Vath has a lip as well?
As to the protective plastic coating ... it can help with small scratches but not big ones. Trust me there will be some big ones!
OF course its all on the underside and no one can see that.
