Increase paddle shift speed?
Been reading about the 7G. I am happy with it, BUT would really like to make the paddles faster - especially shifting up. Is there a way (software?) to do this? is there a way to make the speed of paddles be the same as adaptive S - after heavy driving?

It's still an automatic gearbox, the planetary gearset can only change orientation so quickly in order to work safely. The Black Series SLK has even quicker gearshifts then the AMG, but I think they're pulling it as far as it can go on that car...
You might be able to get an upgrade to the Black Series transmission code, but how and where, is not something I'd know.

Looking for a new toy.
The issue I have is not the actual time it takes for the mechanical shift itself, but the time it takes from requesting the change via the shift paddle to the car actually realizing "yup he wants a gear change" *L*, or the electronic delay so to speak. So I mostly just put it in sport and leave it at that.

I believe the electronic delay comes from the tranny trying to detect a moment in action when it can safely change gears without them grinding.
