Actually, I enjoyed your link more. It gives a more detailed review when you select the SLK. On the other forum, it was a review of all cars and didn't give enough SLK data.

It was interesting to hear that even the SLK BS doesn't blip on the downshifts. Wtf? I could have sworn that standard SLK55 brochure indicated it was to have that feature.

On another note, they mention that the SLK BS and M3 had similiar steering feel or lack thereof. Is MB catching BMW in drive feel? Perhaps BMW is coming down to MB levels. lol.

Thanks for the link.

I think its bmw coming down to MB levels, BMW were known that they are lighter or have more feel than Mercedes's.

That'd be my take too - all the reviews I've seen on the new M3 praise the car overall, EXCEPT the steering. That's what happens when automakers try to get too fancy with electronic doodads.

The C63 is the first AMG to blip on a downshift.

I'll believe it when I see it... and if it does, it's about damn time.

An another note,
Can anything be done to improve steering feel? I know of other cars that changed out bushings and such that improved feel. Is there such a fix for the SLK?

good to see this video

but it wasn't exactly a triumph for the SLK 55
it finished last in the review
I would love seeing the other nine cars they considered
anyone have a link?

It's on the same link, located just below the SLK video. There's a second page too.
