i would be willing to go in on this group to buy for a CF hood. A few questions
Is the hood a direct replacement or do i need to purchase or transfer the closing hardware ect? Or can i purchase the hardware and have you install it for me on the hood.
What are the weight savings (saw the original hood weighs 30lbs but how much does the CF hood weigh)?
How much is shipping?
Would you recommend a body shop do the install or could I do it. My only concern is hood alignment.
also how do you take payments paypal.com or credit card?

They have some pics of their other carbon lips for E55, C55, etc on their website. They are all very clean looking and fairly straight-forward in design, SLK55's should be no different. Here's a picture of their lip on E55:

Nice thanks for the info! May would be perfect right when I get back for the summer! Im dying for a front lip I was just going to get a Kleemann front lip but if this comes out in may I might wait!

CF would look great on your car especially if you get CF wheels. To bad CF gets lost on my dark colored car. On grey or white, it looks awesome.

The hood is a direct replacement for the stock hood, you re use everything, the vents, the shocks etc... Think of it as a replica of the stock hood, which it is, only in carbon fiber.
The CF hood weighs about 14-15lbs.
The hood is not hard to install, you can do it yourself and a friend most likely, but i have to admit, i recommend you bringing it to a body shop so nothing goes wrong.
