We have the same problem lee7758. Good thing that you open up that situation. I hope that we solve are problem in this forum. But for now, I will read some auto related topics such as autopartswarehouse.com to get some information about car repairs.

What type of noise is it? I have a kinda squeaking noise sometimes but it was due to my seat being to far back.

There can be several reasons for noise... typically it's the seat belt buckle which is left sitting on the side of the seat and makes a clonking noise. This however is not a squeak...

Secondly, some early SLK's had the door lock bit inserted upside down, this too would make a clonking noise.

The seat may squeak if it's sitting too far back, it's rubbing against the rear wall.

The little belt buckle attachment clip may also squeak if it's rubbing against the side of the interior...

Does it make the squeaky noise if someone is sitting in the seat? If it still does it, it has to be something which is constantly rubbing against another slippery surface.

I just had my interior professionally cleaned with essential oils to re-hydrate the seat leather. This causes squeakiness for a few weeks since the seats are quite slippery from the oils. But this is probably not your case...

I guess you really need to find the exact location of the squeak, and if you know it's happening when someone is sitting in that seat, you could ask someone to take you on a drive and then start listening very carefully to where the noise comes from.

If all clips inside have been replaced, it might be the leather squeaking against the magnesium/plastic rear wall of the seat. A few rubber spacer might sort you out...
