Vadim said it would take about 15 minutes to test if the airbox would fit or not. They are making damn nice gains for that cost!

I am 10 miles from Costa Mesa, but I can't tell from the thread if this is a worth while endeavor. I guess I can just call this Vadim person and see. I'll give it a try and post the info.

Alright, I'll be heading over to VRP tomorrow afternoon, 6/05/08, to see if this clears our hood. Is 10rwhp worth $550? Could there be any warranty issues? I have a CPO 06' SLK55 with over a year of warranty and 80,000 miles remaining. I don't want to jeopardize my warranty, I may just buy one of these.

Wow that awesome that your doing this thank you very much Andy! As for the money $550 for 10-12rwhp IMO is pretty good compared to other mods cost to HP ration. The RennTech airbox cost somewhere around $2000 I think! Correct me if I'm wrong there are much more knowledgeable people on this forum than myself but what ive seen with mods from Kleemann and Renntech, Brabus also include you end up paying around $100 per HP. Like headers are around $3,000 you get around 30rwhp. As for the warranty I dont see why it would do anything I dont think it would be even considered a bolt on . Vadim should be able to answer those questions though I've been talking with him for the past month he really knows hes stuff! Thanks again bro if all works out Ill deff get one!

I stopped by VPR and the airbox definately fits. Vadim seems like a great guy with a great shop. He had a beatiful SL65, but wouldn't trade straight up. Oh well, had to ask! Anyhow, 10 -12 HP seems worth $550. I may go for it.

Very interesting....

I can't stand the look of that cover though. I hope they come up with something better looking than that. Also, I am among those that question that dyno chart. The 55 (C or SLK) should put down about 300 stock. I don't get why it's so low.

Also, why is the torque so low? Check out the dyno on this stock SLK55.
