SuperSprint Xpipe Renntech CF airbox for SALE
My car is just too damn loud with the removal of the resonator. I think it has to do with my car being supercharged ... As a result, I removed the Supersprint X-pipe and put my stock resonator back on.
I would prefer to sell this local if possible but I sure I could ask Sonic to ship it for me if need me.
Also I have a Renntech CF airbox that is just sitting in my garage. It doesn't fit over the Renntech Supercharger and needs to be modified to fit. I just haven't bothered to have had it fitted.
I bought this used from a gentlemen out in florida and its it great shape. Again I would prefer to sell this to someone local for pickup. Just seeing all the nightmare sales on this forum has my wary.
Please PM me with reasonable offers. Lowball bids won't be replied to. I think it would be nice for another member here to have some new toys to play with. Again these are used so I'm not expecting anything close to list. List for the airbox I think is around 1500 and the Xpipe around 400 or 500.
I'm in the Bay Area (near Stanford).

ACTUALLY, you can KEEP your x-pipe, and merely add single tube resonators after the x-pipe that are free flowing.. this quiets the sound, yet gives the HP and sound benefits of the x-pipe..
you just put the supersprint resonator on each side after the x-pipe.. should quiet it by 35% or so
I did it, on several MB and other cars works great.. and you keep the x-pipe..
that is why alot of exhaust makers like supersprint, borla, magnaflow, remus,
and Bassani exhaust all offer this.in line smaller resonator.
or if you really want to trick it out, you can do a 2 in 1 Race Ready exhaust where the pipe going back on each side has a short Y where one part goes back through the resonator and muffler, and with the flick of a button inside the car, you can trigger the flap acutator to open, which will allow a bypass of the resontator and muffler for a loud knarly exhaust when you are at a stoplight or on the track,,putting the exhaust through the short Y stub sounding racy and phat. ( about $450 )

Ferrari, and ASTON MARTIN DB9 does this, in europe with the Kreissieg exhaust with RPM controllers and its catching on alot, called Valvetronic exhaust, and many custom supercars do this, but their version is overpriced and costs like $7000 but its kewl cause you can have a loud car when you want,
and also a quiet daily driver..
you can choose between normal mode which goes through all the resonators and mufflers, or choose F1 mode which is straight off the headers which is cool with the flick of a switch. it probably the best high end exhaust and least restrictive you can get but VERY LOUD on F1 mode, quieter on reg mode
this Kressieg will make your car sound almost exactly like a ferrari,in F1 mode
cause they use this exhaust, see below the M5 sounding like a ferrari in F1 mode

just some info which you may find helpful

BTW I don't think the car needs to be THAT loud expect perhaps at a track. The cool factor wore off pretty fast.
I think my car with resonator ON is about as loud as a stock SLK55 with it OFF.

almost every racing team and pro exhaust guy uses them, and it sound way better,, smooths out the cylinder banks and pressure between in the exhaust..
you can add resonators,BEFORE the x-pipe as well, either way , you merely cut out a piece of straight pipe and add the resonators, they are only like 10 inches long.. I have seen it done,
no point in going 1 step forward with the x-pipe and then 2 steps back when you can just add resonators with the x-pipe in place..
goto a pro exhaust or racing shop and they can explain it and show you.

How loud is loud? Muscle car loud, Nascar loud, or 747 loud? Did you happen to replace the stock headers and cats with the Supersprint long tube headers and high flow cats as well?

At idle it not that loud ... it gets loud with just a small jab of the throttle. At full throttle though is does sounds like nascar.
Thanks for your help.
I think that I would have kept the Xpipe if I didn't have a supercharger.
What I really should do is buy the supersprint resonator and mufflers but again like you said its a serious investment. And the problem for me is I don't see any real performance gain from those parts.
Xpipe is still on hold for someone. Btw I do apologize about setting up paypal payment etc for you. I'll try and get to it this week.
