Are they really going to drop the 63 in there? That small car with that monster engine should make it far and away the fastest AMG in the lineup...just imagine the power-weight ratio.

The slk amg has always been the raciest amg offering. As such an n/a motor would be expected. Also the motor will not be more than 420hp or so as if it is it will be the fastest amg and the price point positioning cannot allow that.

Nice information. But I think This car have very old and use for long time. As well as its have dull finishing of colour and not look very effective of any one. I have waiting for new SLK car in markets.

I suspect it will be a SLK55 with new 5.5 engine which has 32v heads vs. the current slk55 which has 16v heads. Should be good for just over 400hp

There is very little racy about the sl65 bs or the clk63 bs. They are heavy beasts with bone jarring suspension... And the dtm car is not currently offered and when it was it was not exactly a regular offering.

Btw, you do know that there is a bs version of the slk55, right? It is just not available in the us as the car was considered too racy for what Americans use their mercs for

32v vs 24v? I believe the M113 E55 has 3 valves per cylinder.

That is incorrect. No BS were prepped & sold in the NA market due a lack of interest in spending $125k (2X) for a car that had 45 more Hp, a slightly stiffer suspension over the Nurbergring offering, with the trade off of losing the convertible function (a major selling point for the car). There were/are too many other cars, that for the same or less money, would spank a BS SLK around a race track (and people here in the US don't like getting destroyed in straight line after dropping 125 large by say, a Z06 or GT500 Mustang). Build quality will get you only so far & the BS, by supercar standards (or $125k spend standards), has an anemic powerplant & a poor transmission for track application).
